Hi. My name is Aviva.

I am a mixed race Asian-Canadian artist, model and washi tape enthusiast based in Montréal, Canada. I use she/her pronouns.

I specialize in making vibrant, colourful and expressive traditional artwork, and am the founder of The Washi Station, an online store selling unique washi tape designed by diverse independent artists.

I am passionate about making creative fields a more accessible and welcoming place to BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other historically marginalized voices. (Although I’m just one person, I hope to continue to have opportunities to uplift the voices of such artists!)

In my spare time I enjoy going on my little walks, doing jigsaw puzzles and being bullied by my black cat, Luna. She keeps me humble.

I am currently seeking paid work in any of the following fields: Publishing, editorial, book illustration, comic covers, concept art.

Personal art commissions are closed, but you can subscribe to my newsletter for updates regarding if/when they will re-open. If you are looking for an artist to commission right now, I suggest visiting the Pet Portrait Artist Directory for a large selection of artists in all different styles!
