How much is shipping to Canada & USA?

We offer $7 flat rate shipping within the USA & $10 flat rate shipping within Canada

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! International shipping starts at $14 to most countries and includes tracking. Price may increase based on the size of your order and location. The Washi Station is not responsible for any duties or customs that you may incur, and cannot predict or advise what fees will be. Be advised that this means EU orders are NOT VAT-inclusive. Thanks for your understanding!

At this time we are still not shipping to the UK due to VAT regulations.

If your country of residence is not listed on the website, send us an email at thewashistation@gmail.com and we can (most likely) add it!

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed and sent out within 1-2 weeks, and typically take about 3-5 business days to ship within the USA or Canada. These are estimates - we cannot guarantee shipping times. We’re not the postal service! Note: processing and shipping time may be longer during busy times such as holiday season or major shop updates

International orders ship within 1-2 weeks, and typically take around 1-3 weeks to arrive, depending on country. Again, we cannot guarantee shipping times and by placing an order, you acknowledge that The Washi Station is not responsible for any missing, lost or damaged parcels.

You will receive an email notification containing a tracking number when your order is dispatched.

Who do you use for shipping?

We are partnered with White Squirrel for order fulfilment. They ship orders to the USA and Canada via USPS, and international orders via DHL.

Help! I made a mistake on my order/I’d like to make a change.

Don’t worry! Send us an email at thewashistation@gmail.com ASAP and we’ll get you sorted out. As long as the order has not yet shipped, we’ll happily accommodate changes or add-ons.

Return Policy:

We do not accept returns. If you would like to cancel your order before it ships, we will gladly refund you, but charge a $2 administrative fee to cover our own payment provider costs.

Lost/Damaged/Returned Orders (domestic)

For lost/damaged/returned orders, we can either offer a refund or send a replacement at no extra cost. You must provide photo(s) in order to assist us contacting the mail carrier for insurance purposes.

If we messed up or forgot an item, we’ll send a replacement or issue a refund.

Incorrect Address:

We will send a replacement for incorrect addresses, but you must pay an additional $10 for the replacement shipping. Please double check your address is correct (including apartment or suite number!) before placing an order!!

How is my order packaged?

Orders are shipped in 100% recycled padded jiffy mailers. We encourage you to recycle the mailers or even re-use them if opened from the top instead of using the pull-release tab. Remember to remove the address label before recycling as the labels are not recyclable. Washi tape decoration or water activated packing tape may be left on the packaging as it is recyclable/biodegradable.

Most orders are largely plastic-free, but if they do include a clear plastic bag it is either re-purposed or 100% recycled and recyclable.

Release liners from envelopes and labels are repurposed into merchandise packing material or used as packing filler. If you place a very large or abnormally sized order, it may be packaged in a repurposed/reused mailer.

Our washi tapes are not shrink-wrapped in plastic, and our thank you cards are printed on 100% recycled paper.

How cute will my package be?

Very cute! (no one has asked this but I just feel you should know)

If a tape is sold out, will it be re-stocked?

Good question! Our collections are limited run, but we are open to re-printing designs if there is enough demand. If you’d like to see a sold out tape re-stocked, the best thing to do is let us know on twitter or instagram.

***COLLABORATION ENQUIRIES***

Are you a reseller?

All of the tapes in our collections have been made exclusively for The Washi Station, with the individual artists receiving an equal share of the profits for their designs! You won’t find these tapes anywhere else on the internet, unless it’s directly from the artists themselves. We do not resell mass-produced designs.

I’m an independent artist. Would you stock my tape?

Maybe! We stock a select amount of designs in our ‘Artists We Love’ Marketplace that are not exclusive to the Washi Station. If you are interested in wholesaling us your tape (in quantities of 10 or more), please email us at thewashistation@gmail.com

I’d like to collaborate with The Washi Station. How do you choose your artists? How can I apply?

Awesome! Participation in our collections is heavily curated to match style and themes. We are not currently actively searching for new artists, but we are always theoretically open to working with new artists in the future, especially if you are BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and/or have a small online following and are new to the world of washi!

If you’re interested in working with The Washi Station, please send an email to thewashistation@gmail.com with link(s) to your portfolio and social media, and a bit of info about yourself! Since we plan collections months in advance, we can’t guarantee that we will be able to work together right away, but we’ll add you to our list of potential collaborators.

Please note that we receive quite a high number of requests for collaboration and already have an extensive lineup of artists and limited spaces for collaboration. Your email may not be responded to very quickly, but we are working on a google form for a more streamlined process of submitting an application for collaboration!

We will never ask you to create any work or designs before confirming our collaboration.

I represent a brand who would like to collaborate with The Washi Station. How would that work?
